Are you a ecra/esa certified electrician ?

Yes, I am a licensed electrician and a licensed electrical contractor for the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA)


Are you insured ? 

Yes, one of ESA requirements is to be fully insured up to $2000000


Do you need to apply for an electrical permit ? 

When adding any electrical devices an electrical permit must be in place besides any work has started. Some work such as replacing light fixtures switches or plugs you do not need a permit. 


How much do you charge per hour ? 

Hourly rate does change on location and time. Obviously the farther away, the time in the day and during the weekend hour wages will increase. On average $65-75 per hour 


Why do my lights flicker/ pulse ?

With new LED bulbs flickering is a constant problem. It usually means the dimmer switch and the light bulbs are not comparable. Replacing the bulb or dimmer will most likely always fix the issue. If you do not have LED bulbs it could be a larger issue


Why should I use LED lights ? 

LED light bulbs are more expensive but will save on replacement of bulbs and energy. 


Is aluminum wiring dangerous ? 

Aluminum wiring is only dangerous if you are using non aluminum switches and plugs. 


Is knob and tube wiring dangerous ? 

Knob and tube can be dangerous for a number of reasons. One reason is that it is not grounded which means electrical shock can be more likely to happen. Another reason is that our homes now have more demand for power than it did 100 years ago. Adding plugs and switches can cause the wiring to be overloaded and over heat.  


Why should I make my house a smart home ? 

Smart homes are a new way to control your electrical devices in your home. You can control it using your smart phone, voice, and wireless remote switches.
